Barrow, 3rd round of BKSA
Peter took 1st place, Hannah 3rd place. Congratulations!!!
First round in Swansea produced howling gale force winds and a record number of competitors. Despite strong opposition I won all the heats and had a spectacular final win.
Second round in Hunstanton again broke records for the number of competitors highlighting the popularity of the BKSA Tour. The winds were lighter here where I generally struggle to do so well, but armed with my light wind weapon – Raptor Pro 137x43 produced the goods with another win.
Third round Barrow produced some fantastic conditions, 20 knots and sunny with some nice waves with big flat areas - perfect kiting conditions. I cruised through into the final but it nearly went horribly wrong with a big crash on the second move, with the kite down and board lost eating valuable seconds into the 7 minute heat. Board and kite back I was fired up to do well and landed everything hard and fast.
From then on I produced one of my best heats ever winning the Third Round.
This puts me in a great position for the rest of the season with four remaining rounds to decide the overall British Senior Freestyle Championships.
Pete
